Our Story
Agency Icon’s casting journey officially started a decade ago, but the truth is, it began much earlier. Back when this side of the planet didn’t even know it needed casting services, two bold visionaries - Terje Kissa and Kärt Väinola - set out to change the game. They dreamed of being casting directors who could open doors for filmmakers and uncover hidden gems.

The truth? We were penniless, good with people, and armed with film degrees - yet struggling to find our place. We weren’t directors, producers, or location managers (respect to them!), but we had an idea and the determination to make it work.

What started as a wild dream became reality. Soon, we were casting for local and international productions. Film by film, commercial by commercial, Agency Icon grew in both reputation and team size.

In 2022, we opened a second office in Helsinki, expanding our reach and offering diverse casting services and access to a wide talent pool across both countries.

Today, we’re proud to say we wouldn’t be here without our amazing team: Sara, Anna Kaisa, Mirjam, Saara, Alexandra, Johanna, and Mari. Their dedication, creativity, and expertise make it all possible - and keep our clients coming back. Together, we keep pushing boundaries, dreaming boldly, and delivering excellence.
